The Parent's Association at the Academy would very much like your help and that of your children to implement a new idea. We thought how wonderful it would be to have a book printed full of our children's favourite recipes. Of course if we were to ask them most would probably reply that pasta is their favourite food but maybe if we dug a little deeper we could come up with something that would reflect our multicultural status at the school. In short we are hoping to put together a cookbook full of recipes from all over the World, each accompanied by a Picture or drawing of the contributor so as to make the authors and origins more recognisable.

The recipe book will be in English but you can hand in recipes in either Spanish or English making sure please that all measurements are in ml and litres. Please hand them in at the video club on Fridays, only in case you haven´t computer, or send them to the link on the schools web page www.theacademyschool.com , preferable in Word. Would be better if you hand the drawings to us. About the pictures we´ll take it at the end.

So that the book covers all courses we ask that years 10, 9,8,7 and 6 present recipes of first courses or healthy aperitives, that years 5,4 and 3 try their hand at main dishes and that years 2 and 1 and Reception 1 and 2 delight us with puddings or dessert. In case there is a doubling up of recipes we will let you know so that you can either choose something else to contribute or so that the authors can fuse their two dishes together the latter already having some success in the world of cooking today.

We would love this book to be ready by the end of this year hopefully in the Summer Term so the 20 th of January is your deadline.

Those responsible for this project are Silvia Bongue graphic design, Clemency Chatham translation and Gema Izquierdo, editor.We will let you know how we are doing and look forward to your recipes. Best regards
